Stunning Yorkshire Stone Supplied To Peak District National Park

We were delighted to supply a wide range of new and reclaimed stone to help create a bespoke building for Peak District National Park.

Following the initial brief, our client outlined their intention to develop a new building that had the perfect balance between a desirable contemporary design whilst paying homage to the existing structures in the local environment.

Our expert team hand-picked a variety of stunning products to help Peak District National Park achieve their desired look. The new property features numerous types of stone including:

• Our signature 140mm reclaimed walling, which was cut to size from large reclaimed oversized stone blocks.
• New dyed and aged Indian roofing stone in a range of sizes such as 50mm x 400mm x 1000mm.
• Our stone lintels were used to create window and door sets. As with the roofing stone, these were supplied in standard and bespoke sizes including 140mm x 100mm.
• Saddle stones to accompany the new oak supports. Our Huddersfield based masons ensured the saddle stones were cut to size using our brand new state of the art saw.
• Reclaimed granite cobbles were used for the driveway edging.
• Reclaimed Yorkshire stone grade A paving to create a stylish and traditional pathway. Each paving stone supplied was sourced from sites within a 40-mile radius of our depot in Holmfirth.

The project also specified new oak as a key material for the development of the bespoke building, which was sourced from Greys Art Stone, another local supplier based in Huddersfield.

Peak District National Park had received quotes from nationwide suppliers. But the client was delighted to have sourced all materials for the project from local businesses and at competitive prices.
