Abacus Are Delighted To Help Build A New Bright Futures School

We’re delighted to have supplied our New 140mm split faced dyed and tumbled walling to Bright Futures School, in Greenfield.

Bright Futures School is an independent school founded in 2010. The project involves the development of a new building which will create a specialist educational centre for children with autism, aged between 5 to 16 in the Saddleworth area.

Our team expertly sourced and processed the new walling stone to provide a beautiful, natural finish for the school, which adds character to the building and creates the look and finish of reclaimed Yorkshire stone.

The development of a new school is a huge step forward in supporting children with autism, and we’re extremely proud to be chosen as the supplier for this project.

Bright Futures School are still working tirelessly to fundraise for interactive learning equipment and have raised £9000 for touch screen televisions. In addition, they have raised £17,000 to develop a state-of-the-art sensory room, which is a designated area for pupils to visit if they feel overwhelmed and need some time out.

Earlier this year, students visited the new school and were delighted with the development of the building, stating that it not only gives them familiarity, but also allows them to interact with peers and staff using specialist equipment and the latest technology.

Throughout the project we’ve worked closely with construction company Factory Stone, they commented: “The stone looks great and the client is delighted”. We’re pleased to receive positive feedback from key stakeholders and thrilled to be involved in a project that will help to support children with autism for years to come.
